Topramezone is a post-emergence herbicide . It is highly soluble in water, non-volatile but, based on its chemical properties, has a high risk of leaching to groundwater. It can be persistent in both soil and aquatic systems. It is moderately toxic to mammals but a low potential for bioaccumulation. It is classified as an irritant. It is moderately toxic to birds, honey bees, earthworms, fish and aquatic invertebrates.
Mode of action: Systemic, highly selective, rapidly absorbed and translocated.
